Firstly, thank you and your marvelous staff for looking after us last night.

From my point of view everything went better than I could have wished for!

Our very first wedding reception, we'd not been open long but the day was fantastic, couldn't have asked for better weather.

​

The courtyard comes into it's own in the evening with the lights on and the outside seating.

​

Plenty of room for a disco or band inside, formal or casual seating as well as a large buffet spread.

​

We can cater for a formal sit down or more casual buffet style and happy to cater for your needs where possible.

Becoming more and more popular, we have hosted several baby showers most opting for our famous afternoon tea option.

This special birthday party wanted something a little bit different.

Rather than a regular buffet, they had already eaten at lunch and just wanted a private room to party and some sharing platters for nibbles.

​

Chef made homemade mini pasties, focaccia, sausage rolls & mini quiches all served with a selection of sliced meat, cheeses, crackers, olives, fruit, vegetables & dips.

Wakes or Celebrations of life are a very personal affair and we understand how important it is to celebrate the life of your loved one. That's why our team is dedicated to helping you create a gathering that is fitting for the occasion. Whether it's selecting the right food or the perfect music, we'll be there every step of the way.

If there's something specific your loved one requested we will accommodate that if at all possible.

We have plenty of room for a memory table and are happy for you to decorate the room.

"This is just a little message to thank you all for the magnificent feast you provided for Mum's funeral on Friday. There was so much variety we were all thoroughly spoiled. The children were in seventh heaven, all their favourites and nobody to say No. Also, there was so much seating, and nicely grouped, so we could easily move around. Mum was a caterer by profession, from a long line of caterers and I know she would have been very happy with the spread. Many congratulations to your chef and his staff. The venue itself proved perfect for our purpose, including lots of safe outdoor spaces, and plenty of parking."

The Buck Inn at Flixton sits between a tree-fringed pasture, and an enormous collection of military aircraft grounded on a Suffolk field. Having heard good things about the afternoon tea served there, I’ve ventured across the border from Norfolk with my parents and father-in law: I forgot Father’s Day and said I’d make amends with cake.

The table is set with fine china, and there’s the instinctive rubbing of hands with which the British greet the prospect of a nice cup of tea.

We begin with finger sandwiches: there’s smoked salmon, of course, and coronation chicken. Next a majestic sausage roll, scones & clotted cream.

Tea, in the end, defeats us. The best we ever had, we say, patting our stomachs, marvelling over tiny cheese tarts and pink pillows of marshmallow. Miniature cupcakes and the last cream horn are packed in paper boxes for a second tea, later on. “Thank you,” we say, thanking hosts both seen and unseen, “we’ll come back.”
